Samsung has released the February 2024 security update for the Galaxy A53 5G. Initially for carrier-locked devices in the US, it is now also available for carrier-unlocked versions.
The latest firmware update, Build Number A536U1UES8DXA5, includes a February 2024 security patch addressing 72 security issues. However, it does not introduce new features, performance enhancements, or bug fixes. Samsung has made the update accessible for devices on various carriers.

Samsung phones periodically check for software updates and notify Galaxy A53 5G users when one is available. If not notified, users can manually check for updates in Settings > Software update > Download and Install.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A53 5G in March 2022 with Android 12 (One UI 4.0). It has since received updates to Android 13 (One UI 5.0) and Android 14 (One UI 6.0). Next, it will get One UI 6.1 and is eligible for Android 15 (One UI 7.0). It currently receives monthly security updates.
